Kurilian Bobtail Cats:
Originating in Kuril Island, these cats can have short or long hair. They have a semi-cobby body, are medium-sized, they have a wild appearance and are very strong. What most distinguishes this breed is that every individual has a unique tail bone structure, varying between 2-10 vertebrae that twist in different directions. They tail will always end up looking like a bushy pompom.
These cats come in a wide variety of colors, either solid completely or tabby. Some might have silver highlights. They can weigh up to 15 lbs and have a brawny body structure. They are very active and like being in high places. They also love to be caressed and crave attention from people. Kurilian cats are known to be very intelligent, sociable, trainable, playful, gentle and curious. They do well with children and other pets and they also enjoy cuddling.
