Bombay Cats:

The Bombay cat is a short-haired breed created to resemble the black leopards in India. They are hybrids of Burmese and American Shorthair cats that were selected to result in a breed with a sleek, black coat.

Bombay cats are completely black including their nose and paws, and display very little paling on their fur. They have copper colored eyes and a medium build. These cats can weigh up to 10 lbs and live between 15 to 20 years. They are also known to be very vocal, tending to cry and meow more than other cats.

These cats are affectionate, playful and have a distinctive purr. They’re curious, intelligent and easy to train as well, making them great house pets. They do not like to be left alone and crave attention from their owners. They also tend to bond, or pick a special person in their household.
