Chartreux Cats:
Strikingly similar to the classic British Shorthair, this French breed is very rare and displays a blue-gray coat with orange/copper eyes. Chartreux cats are large and muscular, known for their fine-boned limbs and fast reflexes. Due to their bone structure, these cats sometimes appear to be smiling. They are also great hunters.
Chartreux cats are quiet and some are mute. They are very observant and intelligent and reach maturity at 2 years of age. They are playful and kind with children and tend to bond with one person in the household, following them wherever they go. They’re non-aggressive, good travelers and very healthy. Their coat is water resistant and is doubled coated often showing breaks in its texture.
